New River Home Trust

New River Home Trust (NRHT) empowers low- and middle-income families in Virginia’s New River Valley with permanently affordable homeownership, an innovative model that helps residents build generational wealth while keeping homes attainable for future buyers. On the new website, visitors can quickly understand the mission, browse available homes, and jump straight to application resources like “Apply Today” and “Income Limits.”

Our role: end-to-end brand identity and a streamlined website built on a flexible CMS, complete with SEO setup, and tailored for easy client management.

Brand Identity Design

NRHT needed a brand that could speak to two audiences at once: first-time homebuyers and the community partners/donors who make the model possible.

We began with discovery: a stakeholder questionnaire and milestone reviews that clarified goals, audiences, and the messages that matter most. That strategy informed a responsive logo system with clear usage rules and spacing so it scales cleanly from tiny favicons to large signage. We paired the mark with Poppins for modern legibility across print and web, keeping typography consistent and accessible. The color palette is purposeful. Tones representing sustainability, accessibility, community, responsibility, security, and transparency, so every touchpoint reinforces the mission at a glance.

Why it matters: The identity makes NRHT’s promise explicit. Affordable homes that strengthen community, so donors, partners, and future homeowners immediately see themselves in the story.

Website Design & Development

We translated the brand into a streamlined information architecture that sends visitors down clear paths: learn who New River Home Trust is, understand the model, browse available homes, and get started on the application.

The build itself covered focused pages with concise copywriting, ensuring clarity and accuracy without bloat. We set up on-page SEO and connected analytics so the team can track engagement and search performance from day one. To keep production smooth, we sourced a curated set of rights-cleared images aligned with the brand. Post-launch, we trained the NRHT team on the CMS so they can update content confidently as programs and listings evolve.

Result: A mission-forward site where prospective homeowners can review steps, explore homes, and apply, while partners and donors can quickly understand the model and get involved.
