VT Agriculture and Applied Economics
The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech is recognized as a premier, world class department of its kind, which is ranked among the top ten percent of collegiate programs globally. Their goal is to empower a diverse audience of students, stakeholders, and alumni to change the world â and through this mission, graduates have gone on to help address the food, financial, health, development, policy, environmental, and social needs in Virginia and beyond. In an effort to extend their reach to incoming students across the country, the AAEC department at Virginia Tech aligned with Joba to create a number of impactful and informative videos. These videos now serve as a resource for understanding the program as a whole, the benefits of choosing a path in agriculture and life sciences and what a career looks like after graduation.
Video Production
With any great video comes the ability to capture vision and tell a story. To do this, we met one on one with members of the AAEC department. Through a series of questions, we were able to identify their goals and help translate their story into a series of inspiring videos. We identified the objective of each video, strategizing the viewpoint, messaging and interviewees that would be involved. After developing a personalized script and shot list for their team, our videographer was able to capture footage on site, later compiling this information into an exciting video series that can be circulated amongst incoming students, their parents, and graduates looking to further develop their careers.
